Pihalni kvintet Slowind je najvidnejši slovenski komorni ansambel zadnjih tridesetih let. Izvaja vsa dela standardnega repertoarja za ta sestav, ob tem pa se je profiliral še kot v slovenskem prostoru najaktivnejši izvajalec sodobnih del svetovne in slovenske literature. Poleg domačih mu svoja dela posvečajo tudi nekateri najpomembnejši svetovni skladatelji (Globokar, Carter, Staub, Smolka ...)
